Interesting topic.. I received my HTC Desire yesterday morning and I have barely put it down once! The screen resolution is totally awesome, not to to mention the size. The first thing i noticed when going through the phones apps is the speed, Lol HTC should ship this phone out with seat belts included in the retail box! The Desire is by miles the fastest phone I have ever played with, opening and closing applications is a breeze. From all the reviews I read, I knew the Desire would be fast - but man this is something else.

I ditched nokia last year, the last nokia I owned was the cool 5800, this was a great handset but I was intrigued to see what Google were up to with their Android OS.. and after tasting some Donut, I bit an Eclair and I honestly think I will never use another OS other than Android. Google have surprised me with the fast maturity of their OS.. together with the genius designs from HTC and their ultra cool Sense UI - you have yourself a super smartphone.

Trust the hype, the HTC Desire IS the best smartphone around right now.

    Congrats on your new phone
You will be even more surprised to see the versatility and customisation of Android 2.1 compared to any other OS

I plan to do that in May or June latest. Currently busy making some trips, so no time to place an order. I'm looking at this moment to Desire, Nexus One or Galaxy S (if it comes to market on time).

For me it's about price, trackball, hardwarekeys and FM-Radio.
Here in Sweden the Desire is ~1400 SEK (193 $) cheaper then the Nexus One.
I do not like the trackball look and feel. I need the radio and like the Hardwarekeys.

Personally I would get the Desire.

It's mainly a matter of look and taste because there are no big differences
